Petrovac is a small urban center under authority of Budva. It is 18km far  from Budva. The old name for Petrovac is Lastva. It was first mentioned in "Pop Dukljanin chronicle" from the XII century by the name Lastva. Petrovac, with its old fortress Castillo, ancient Roman mosaics, is a seaside village with a long and turbulent history. Based on the, until now discovered archaeological findings during the Roman era  Petrovac was a settlement, and  probably represented small station on the Roman way along the Adriatic coast.  

Petrovac offers different types of accommodation, from modern, large hotel  objects  to apartments and rooms of private. Petrovac offers holidays in a quiet and friendly atmosphere with most various types of recreation, so that tourists have access to all kinds of sport  activities. During the summer, there are daily excursions by boat.

The central part of Petrovac is Petrovac  beach. This is a sandy beach - 600 meters  long, with reddish sand. It is one of the most visited beaches on the Budva Riviera. Special charm gives small islands Katic and St. Sunday, which are a challenge for fans of the sea depths. This beach is a protected nature reserve.
Beach Lucica is 500 meters far  from Petrovac, 1 km away from Petrovac is the beach and the bay Buljarica.
