Privacy Policy

Welcome2Montenegro (welcome2montenegro.com) is run by the W2MNE team ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We collect as little as we can.

What we collect and why

Browsing the site

We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising, and we don't show ads from ad networks. Our fonts and images load from our own site, not from third parties.

To see which pages are useful, we use Vercel Web Analytics, an analytics tool that works without cookies and doesn't identify you. It gives us totals only, such as page views, country and device type.

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical data needed to deliver pages and keep the service secure, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.

The Plan your trip form

When you ask us for trip suggestions, we receive what you enter in the form: your name, email address, travel dates, length of stay, interests and message. We use it only to reply to you. The form is delivered to our mailbox through Resend, an email delivery service. We don't add you to any mailing list.

Emails

When you email us, for example to send a correction, we receive your email address and your message. We use them to reply and to fix what you reported. Our mailbox is hosted by Proton.

Donations

If you support us through Buy Me a Coffee or PayPal, the payment is handled by that service under its own privacy policy. We never see your card or bank details. Depending on the service, we may see your name, email address and any message you leave.

Booking.com links

Some pages link to Booking.com. If you follow one of these links, Booking.com may use cookies on its own site to record that you came from us, so it can pay us a commission. Booking.com's privacy policy applies there. We receive booking reports from Booking.com to track commission, and we never use them to contact you.

Legal basis

• Hosting data and analytics: our legitimate interest in running a secure site and improving it.
• Form and emails: answering the request you sent us.
• Donations: keeping a record of the support we receive.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal data. We share it only with the services that run the site for us and process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and analytics), Resend (form delivery) and Proton (email). Some of them may process data outside Montenegro, under the safeguards they provide.

How long we keep it

• Trip requests and emails: up to 6 months after our last reply, then deleted.
• Analytics: totals only, with no personal data.
• Hosting logs: kept by Vercel for a limited time, under its own policy.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Write to us at w2mne@proton.me and we'll reply within 30 days.

If you think we've handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information of Montenegro (Agencija za zaštitu ličnih podataka i slobodan pristup informacijama: https://www.azlp.me/me/agencija), or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Children

The site is meant for adults planning a trip. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top.
