Velika Plaža: first-hand guide

Velika Plaža is a sandy beach about 12 km long, south-east of Ulcinj. The sea stays shallow for a long way out from the shore. At its far end lies Ada Bojana, where the river Bojana flows into the Adriatic.

What to see and do

  • A large number of beach bars along the beach.
  • Ada Bojana at the end of the beach: the island at the mouth of the Bojana, where the river meets the Adriatic, and a popular summer resort.
